Support a good cause
I take fundraising events to their limit, in January 2020 I trekked to the South Pole raising £110K for The Brain Tumour Charity. Over the past few years I have also slept out in the city to raise awareness of homelessness, run 40 marathons in 40 days raising over £250,000, and trekked the mountains of Southern India amongst many other fundraising events.
Trek to the South Pole
In January 2020, I undertook an immense 100km nautical trek across the Antarctic plateau to the South Pole over 2 weeks and raised over £110K to fund The Brain Tumour Charity’s Tessa-Jowell BRAIN-MATRIX, a first-of-its-kind clinical trial that will enable doctors to treat brain tumours with drugs that are more targeted than ever before.
Raised over 100k for The Prince's Trust
In 2016, I raised over £100K for The Prince’s Trust by completing 40 marathons in 40 days, running 1040 miles. I was proud to be recognised with the Prince’s Trust Outstanding Individual Award for my support for young people to improve their future lives and careers. Click here to read more
Founded CEO Sleepout
In 2014, I founded CEO Sleepout UK where myself and other CEOs spend the night sleeping on the street to raise awareness of homelessness. By 2018 we had raised over £600K for Action for Children in order to help thousands of children and young people off the streets and into safe homes. Click the button below to read more.
Southern India Trek
In January 2015 I undertook a physically demanding 5 day, 45 mile trek across the Tamil Nadu mountains of Southern India to raise funds to build a refuge for trafficked girls from the slums of Mumbai. We endured searing heat during the day, freezing temperatures at night, encountered snakes, leeches, and even elephants brushing past our tent in the dark, raising over £100,000 as a result. Loomba Foundation Fundraising
I chaired the fundraising arm of the Loomba Foundation for over a decade. The foundation cares for widows around the world. In 2017, for their 20th Anniversary I organised the gala event, including running the evening and acting as the event’s charity auctioneer where we raised £350,000. In 2018, I completed an 8-hour cycle challenge at the Olympic Velodrome in London for the British Asian Trust. Our team raised over £100,000 for the charity. Click the button below to find out more.
